Hero Dash 110cc Scooter Launching Soon in India

Out of the four all new scooters unveiled by Hero MotoCorp at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo, the Dash will be the first one to be launched in the Indian market. Since the company has already begun the production of the scooter at its Gurgaon-based plant, expect it to be launched anytime in May or June 2015. This will be the company’s second scooter, after Maestro, in the 110cc segment.

Engine Specs and Mileage

The Hero Dash scooter will be powered by a new four-stroke, air-cooled, single-cylinder 111cc petrol motor. Paired to a CVT gearbox, this engine churns out 8.5bhp of power and 9.4Nm of torque. It is expected to return an impressive fuel economy of around 60kmpl. Weighing 110kgs, the new Dash scooter comes with 155mm of ground clearance and a 6-litre fuel tank.

Styling and Features

The scooter will come with an all-new metal body and alloy wheels covered with tubeless tyres. It will be equipped with various exciting features such as a service due indicator, a USB mobile charger, boot light, key with e-code, LED tail lamps, under seat storage lamp, dual tone mirrors and analogue digital meter.

Braking System, Suspension and Dimensions

The vehicle gets drum brakes both at the front and the rear sides, and it rides on 12-inch wheels. It features telescopic forks upfront and has 90/90/12 front tyre and 90/90/10 rear tyre. This scooter measures 1850mm in length, 822mm in width and 1270mm in height.

Competitors

It will rival against the likes of Honda Activa, TVS Jupiter, Suzuki Lets, Mahindra Gusto and Yamaha Ray.
