2019 Yamaha MT15 Naked Bike Based On R15 V3 Unveiled – Pics & Details
Yamaha MT-15 is basically a naked streetfighter version of the popular Yamaha R15 V3.
Japanese automaker, Yamaha has revealed the new 2019 Yamaha MT-15 motorcycle in Thailand. It is basically a naked streetfighter version of the popular Yamaha R15 V3. The major attraction of this naked bike is its design, which is heavily inspired from the bigger Yamaha MT-09. The bike comes equipped with a newly developed bug-eyed LED headlamp unit. Other design highlights include a muscular fuel tank, a slim tail section, single-piece seat, and a newly designed digital instrument console.
The motorcycle rides on the same 10-spoke alloy wheels and aluminium swing-arm. Powering the 2019 Yamaha MT-15 naked bike is a 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, four-valve engine with VVA technology, which also powers the Yamaha R15 V3.0. Similar to fully-faired sibling, this bike also comes equipped with slipper clutch. This engine is capable of producing 19bhp of power and 14.8Nm of torque. For suspension mechanism, the Yamaha MT-15 gets 37mm USD front forks and a preload adjustable mono-shock unit at the rear. Braking system comprises of 267mm front disc and 220mm disc with a floating calliper. The bike gets 17-inch alloys shod with 110-section front and 140-section rear tyres. In terms of proportions, the bike is 1,965mm x 800mm x 1,065mm in length, width and height respectively. The bike has a wheelbase of 1,335mm, while the saddle height stands at 810mm.
