Hyundai is working on the facelifted version of the Neo Elantra Fluidic premium saloon. Speculated to go on sale in 2016, the Elantra facelift will get a host of changes to both exteriors and interiors. We expect that the updated saloon will hit Indian shores by mid 2016.
The facelifted Hyundai Elantra has been spotted testing, giving some idea about the possible changes given to the exterior of the new model. The new saloon will get the new Hyundai’s design philosophy seen in the company’s new cars. However, the exact details on the changes given to the design are yet to be revealed. It is speculated that the front profile of the car resembles the Genesis. The front fascia of the car gets hexagonal shaped chrome grille flanked by leaner head-lamps with daytime running lights. It is likely to get modified front and rear bumpers and slightly tweaked LED tail-lights. The vehicle is also reportedly get big changes to all exterior panels including the doors and rear fenders.
The exact details of the engine lineup for the facelift variant of the Elantra have yet to be revealed; however, we believed the Indian-sped model will share mechanics with current model. The company will also modify the suspension setup of the new Elantra to offer improved handling and driving dynamics.
