Toyota Motors is gearing up to launch the updated Etios twins in the Indian car market. GaadiWaadi folks have managed to click the clear pictures of the new Etios hatchback and sedan. Moreover, the vehicles, reportedly, are scheduled to go on sale on October 15.
The Etios twins get subtle changes to both exteriors and interiors. The exteriors of the car features prominent chrome insert on the familiar smiley grille. It also gets restyled outside rear view mirrors with integrated turn indicators.
Inside the cabin, the vehicle gets improved seat upholstery and door trims. Also visible is a dual-tone beige colour scheme with faux-wooden and chrome accents. If media reports are to be believed, the driver side airbag will come as standard safety feature in Etios while the top-spec model gets electrically adjustable ORVMs and reverse parking sensors.
Mechanically, the Etios facelift remains the same. The sedan model gets the 1.5L petrol unit rated at 88.7bhp and 132Nm of torque, while the gasoline motor is the 1.4L unit outputting 67bhp and 170Nm of torque.
The hatchback model features the 79bhp, 1.2-litre petrol unit and the 88.7bhp, 1.4L diesel motor. Power is transmitted to front wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox.
