Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to launch the Ciaz sedan in the country in October. Meanwhile, reports are coming that the company is planning to launch the facelifted swift in India on September 16. Interestingly, the vehicle is also expected to get automatic variant. Recently, the swift facelift has been spotted at the company’s Manesar plant’s stockyard.
The Maruti Swift facelift will carries over the current body shape and looks quite identical to the present model. The vehicle will get new L-shaped LEDs, restyled bumper with silver detailing and larger air dam, fog lamps, restyled grille and headlamp package. The top-spec model is likely to get a new pair of 16-inch alloy wheels, while the base model will sport new steel wheels with new wheel covers. Moreover, a new Boost Blue metallic exterior paint and brighter red colour is also likely to make its way to the Swift facelift.
The interiors of the Swift facelift get minimal changes. It is likely to feature new fabric seat upholstery, start & stop button, power adjustable ORVMs, front passenger’s window with auto-up touch function and others. Moreover, the top-spec model is likely to feature automatic climate control, new infotainment system, Bluetooth, AUX-in and iPod connectivity.
Under the bonnet is the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel motor. Both engines will be paired to a five-speed manual gearbox. The petrol version is also likely to get automatic variant.
