American automaker, Ford has finally revealed the much-awaited new generation Endeavour aka Everest. Set to go on sale in 2015, the vehicle will compete against the likes of SsangYong Rexton and Toyota Fortuner. The company has released a new video explaining all about the exterior and interior of the next generation Endeavour.
The next generation Ford Endeavour is claimed to offer excellent off-road capability. The SUV comes with an impressive ground clearance of 225mm, and has a water wading capacity of 800mm, which is just 50mm less than the new Range Rover Sport’s water wading depth of 850mm. It also features a Terrain management system, which offers different terrain models to driver including Sand, Gravel, Grass, mud, etc.
Inside the cabin, the new Endeavour gets new design layout with more modern ingredients. It features an all-new dashboard and is equipped with lot more gizmos to play with. The SUV features an all-new 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system and Ford’s SYNC2 multimedia system with voice commands.
At the time of launch, the next Endeavour will get a new 2.2-litre and 3.2-litre diesel engines and a 2.0-litre EcoBoost petrol unit. However, the Indian spec model will be offered in diesel version only.
