American automaker, Ford has just released the first teaser video of the next generation Ford Endeavour aka Everest SUV. The company also stated that the new SUV’s global reveal will take place on November 13.
The teaser video highlights the alloys, headlights and grille of the SUV, which largely resembles the Everest concept shown at the Bankok Motor Show. This video also indicates that the new model will offer both off-and-on-road capabilities. Going by the teaser, we expect that the production spec Endeavour will share most of its styling with the concept.
Internationally, the next Endeavour will be offered in two diesel engine options- a 2.2-litre four-cylinder diesel and a 3.2-litre five-cylinder diesel engine. The Indian-spec model would continue to feature the same 2.5-litre and 3.0-litre oil burners. The current model is offered with a five-speed manual and automatic gearbox in India. Rumors suggest that the new model would get six-speed units for better fuel efficiency.
The new Endeavour will be based on the new ladder-frame chassis, which will replace the leaf spring setup to offer better drivability. The cabin is expected to share its component and layout with the Ford F-150 pickup. The vehicle is expected to be launched in the Indian car market next year.
