Maruti Suzuki India is aiming to gain the top-slot in the heavily populated mid-sized sedan segment with its much-awaited Ciaz sedan in the country. Scheduled to be launched in mid-October, the Suzuki Ciaz bookings have already commence at a token amount of Rs. 21,000. The company has officially revealed the feature-list and engine specifications of the mid-sized sedan. The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz is available in four trim levels- V, V+, Z and Z+ in both petrol and diesel guise. The V is the entry level variant while the Z is the top-spec model. Maruti Suzuki Ciaz VXi/VDi- Interestingly, the base spec VXi/VDi variant is equipped with good amount of features as standard. It is a common practice of car manufacturer to offer less equipped base variant to achieve aggressive pricing. However, MSI is offering a series of features with the Ciaz mid-sized sedan which is impressive. As standard, the vehicle gets projector headlamps, outside rear view mirrors with integrated turn indicators, advanced infotainment comprises of audio system, USB, four speakers and a couple of tweeters. The other features include power windows, adjustable power steering, height adjustable seatbelt, chrome inserts on door handles, air conditioning, rear AC vents, centre armrest for both front and rear occupants, etc. However, this variant misses out on important safety and security features including airbags and ABS.
Maruti Suzuki Ciaz VXi+/VDi+- This is the mid-level variant in the Ciaz model series. Along with the standard features accessible in the lower spec model, this variant gets several advanced equipments. This model gets automatic climate control instead of manual, multi-functional steering wheel with controls for audio, phone and Bluetooth. On safety front, this trim features front fog lamps, reverse parking sensors, ABS and driver’s side airbag.
Maruti Suzuki Ciaz ZXi/ZDi- This is one of the top-spec variants in its model series. This variant gets additional high end features including 15-inch alloy wheels, push button start/stop, reverse parking camera, chrome door handles, leather upholstery, dual airbags (driver & co-driver), silver accents, footwell lamps.
Maruti Suzuki Ciaz ZXi+/ZDi+- It is the top-of-the line variant in the Ciaz model series. This variant gets all the features that are available in lower variants. Its flared wheel arches have been fitted to 16-inch alloy wheels. There is chrome garnish on the trunk lid on the outside. The interiors of the sedan is bestowed with full leather upholstery, Smartplay 7-inch touchscreen with navigation system, smartphone, video and voice command function, reverse parking camera, etc.
