Launched: Fiat Abarth 595 Competizione in India at Rs. 29.85 lakh

Fiat India has finally introduced its first Abarth model – the Abarth 595 Competizione – at Rs. 29.85 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Fiat Abarth 595 Competizione, the performance-oriented Abarth 500, will be sold as a CBU (completely build up) unit in India. The Fiat Abarth 595 Competizione will take on the Mini Cooper S, BMW 1 Series and Mercedes-Benz A-Class. Just so you know, the company had showcased the Abarth 595 Competizione at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo.

Exterior
The Fiat Abarth 595 Competizione looks sportier than the Abarth 500, thanks to its sporty kit. This performance hatch features Abarth scorpion badge instead of the regular Fiat logo, special 10-spoke, 17-inches alloy wheels with Pirelli PZero 205/40 tyres, HID headlights, a low front bumper with graphite insert, a sunroof, side body decals, ORVMs with graphite finish, sporty rear bumper, twin exhausts and a roof mounted spoiler. Fiat claims that the Abarth 595 Competizione’s aerodynamics and performance have been improved by reducing its height by 105mm.

It puts out a peak power of 158bhp at 5,500rpm. Transmission on offer is a 5-speed AMT (automated manual transmission) gearbox boasted with the manual override system.
