While automobile manufacturers in our country are increasing prices of their vehicles citing hike in the excise duty, Kawasaki India is planning to offer a massive Rs. 55,000 discount on the popular Z800 motorcycle. With this price cut, the Z800 will cost Rs. 7.35 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune). The new price will be effective till the end of first quarter of this year.

According to Kawasaki, the price cut in Thailand is the reason behind this discount on the Z800 motorcycle. The Z800 comes in India via CBU (Completely Built-Up Units) route from Thailand. The maker has passed on the benefits to the customers, and the bike is now available at new price.  Currently, the company is selling nine models in our country out of which, only two models are locally assembled at Bajaj’s facility in Chakan, Pune.

The Z800 is the country’s most affordable four-cylinder motorcycle. It is propelled by an 806cc inline-four liquid-cooled engine that churns out a maximum power output of 111bhp and a peak torque of 83Nm. Now, the new price for Z800 makes it more appealing. Its closest rival, the Triumph Street Triple offers 78bhp of power. With this price cut, the Z800 offers better value for money proposition to its buyers.
