Hyundai ix25 SUV- new details emerge

Update: The Hyundai ix25 SUV will be launched in August or September 2015. Know the launch details. 

Hyundai that unveiled the ix25 compact SUV at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show is gearing up to launch the car in the Chinese market. If media reports are to be believed, the production spec ix25 will officially go on sale on October 10 in Guangzhou. Ahead of its official launch next month, few details and brochure of the Hyundai ix25 has been leaked on web.

The Hyundai ix25 will be offered in 8 variants out of which, five models powered by 1.6L motor and rest gets the 2.0-litre engine. It is expected to be priced around 140,000 Yuan (INR 1399772.86). The new ix25 measures 4270mm in lenth, 1780mm in width and 1622mm in height (1627mm including luggage rack), and it comes with a large wheelbase of 2590mm.

The Hyundai ix25 production version looks quite identical to the concept shown at the Beijing Show. The front fascia of the SUV features a matte grille flanked by sharp headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights functions. However, the company has slightly tweaked the aerodynamic creases to make it road compatible. Adding to it, the rear profile of the SUV features same LED combination rear taillights. Its new wheel hub is complemented by black trim embellishment, which adds to its sporty character.

The Hyundai ix25 compact SUV will be powered by a 1.6L and 2.0L naturally aspirated engine. The 1.6L engine is capable of producing 122bhp of power and 151Nm of torque, while the 2.0L motor offers a maximum power output of 158bhp and 192Nm of torque. Transmission option includes a six-speed manual and automatic gearbox. Adding to it, there will be a four-wheel drive variant on offer. The 1.6L models get a decent ground clearance of 183mm, while the more powerful variants get slightly lower 180mm of ground clearance. The vehicle is equipped with several advanced equipments including TCS (Traction Control System), Brake assist system, hill assist control, ABS with EBD and ESP, etc.
