Bajaj Auto has launched the much-awaited Pulsar RS 200 in India. The company has developed this new 200cc Pulsar will the help of sportsbike maker- KTM. Based on the Pulsar 200 NS, the Pulsar RS 200 is a fully faired bike with added features. It will compete against the likes of the KTM RC200, the Honda CBR250R and Yamaha YZF-R15.
All four motorcycles are powered by a single-cylinder, four-stroke and liquid-cooled engine. The RC200 and the Pulsar RS 200 gets the same 199.5cc engine that also powers the Pulsar 200 NS. However, the Pulsar gets triple-spark plug technology while the KTM gets single spark plug to start. The Honda CBR 250R is the most powerful, and comes with a 249cc engine which is around 50cc more than the others. The 249cc engine is good for 26bhp of power at 8,500rpm and 23Nm of torque at 7,000rpm. The KTM RC200 and Pulsar 200 NS develops 24.7bhp at 10,000rpm and 24.1bhp at 8,500rpm, respectively with 19Nm of peak torque at 8,000rpm. The Yamaha YZF-R15 is powered by a 150cc single-cylinder engine that is good for 17bhp of power and 15Nm of torque.
