2015 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet

Mercedes-Benz, the German luxury carmaker has launched the CLS 250 CDI and the E-Class Cabriolet in the Indian car market. Both models have been launched via CBU (Completely Built Unit) route. While the CLS 250 CDI is tagged at Rs. 76.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the E400 Cabriolet costs Rs. 78.5 lakh ((ex-showroom, Delhi).

2015 Mercedes-Benz CLS Diesel

The CLS facelift is only available in a diesel version. The car was earlier offered with a V6 engine, but now, the maker is aiming to sell more units by introducing diesel engine. It is basically a four-door coupe version of the E-Class sedan which is powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine that churns out 201bhp of power and 500Nm of peak torque. On the other hand, the E 400 Cabriolet gets the 3.0-litre V6 twin-turbo petrol motor that is good for 328bhp and 480Nm of torque. While the CLS Coupe takes 7.5 seconds to cross 0-100kmph, the E-Class Cabriolet accelerates to 100kmph from zero in mere 5.3 seconds.

The E-Class Cabriolet comes with an electric soft top that can be opened or closed at speeds under 40kmph. The Mercedes CLS 250 CDI features new diamond grille, new multibeam LED headlamps and muscular bumper with large air intakes. The cabin is bestowed with new multifunctional steering wheel and an 8-inch COMAND infotainment screen.
