2015 Mercedes-Benz B-Class facelift

Mercedes-Benz, the German luxury carmaker had unveiled the 2015 B-Class facelift at the 2014 Paris Motor Show in October. After five months of its unveiling, the company has launched the updated B-Class facelift in the Indian car market. The new model is available in both petrol and diesel fuel options. The new B-Class facelift is now priced at Rs. 27.95 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai).

Ever since the second generation B-Class launched in 2011, the company managed to sell over 3.5 lakh units of the car globally. The facelifted hatchback will target the young buyers of the country. The updated B-Class gets subtle changes to both exteriors and interiors. The hatchback features revised front and rear bumper, new headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lamps, etc. Inside the cabin, the hatchback received a host of changes including metal inserts, carbon fibre finished dashboard, ambient lighting with 12 shades, and red stitching on the seats and steering.

The cabin features new steering wheel, borrowed from the C-Class saloon, which is covered in soft leather. Moreover, the instrument cluster and new colour screen from the trip computer are also sourced from the C-Class. It features a new, seven-inch COMAND screen. Other features include electrically adjustable driver’s seat, panoramic sunroof, parking sensors, seven airbags and rear view camera.

Under the hood is the 2.1-litre diesel engine, which is now produces more power. The engine is capable of producing 134bhp of power and 300Nm of torque. The petrol engine is the same 1.6-litre unit that produces 121bhp.
