Maruti Suzuki, India’s largest car manufacturer has launched the much-awaited 2015 Swift Dzire facelift in the country. The updated sedan is priced in the range of Rs. 5.07 lakh to Rs. 7.81 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Bookings for the car have already commenced, while the deliveries of the car are likely to commence soon.
The Swift Dzire facelift gets changes to both exteriors and interiors. The saloon gets new front fascia with new single-chrome grille, resembling the Brio hatchback, flanked by smoked headlamps. The other changes include fog lamps with chrome enclosure, revised bumpers and new alloy wheels.
The compact sedan shares most of its additional features from the facelifted Swift. It sports engine start-stop button, electrically adjustable and retractable ORVMs, updated music system, reverse parking sensors and rear power socket. Going by the feature addition, we believe that the new model is more feature-rich car than the previous model.
The Swift Dzire facelift gets the same petrol and diesel fuel options. While the diesel engine is the same 1.3-litre MJD engine that is good for 74bhp and 190Nm, the gasoline unit is the 1.2-litre unit producing 83bhp and 115Nm of torque. Both engines are tweaked to offer improved fuel efficiency. Interestingly, the Dzire is now the country’s most fuel efficient car. The oil burner is claimed to return 26.59kmpl of mileage, while the petrol engine delivers 20.85kmpl.
