The clear images of the saloon shows that the vehicle looks identical to the Ciaz concept unveiled at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo. At the front, the vehicle gets rectangular chrome grille which is flanked by an aggressive headlights. The side profile of the saloon features aerodynamic creases that run across the length. Moreover, the vehicle seems to be longer in size compared to its closest rivals including Honda City, Hyundai Verna and soon to be launched new Ford Fiesta. Inside the cabin, the sedan will share its components with other Maruti’s like the Swift and Ertiga. It also comes equipped with rear AC vents.
The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz will come in both petrol and diesel engines. While the petrol version is likely to get the 1.4-litre 4-pot mill that also powers the Ertiga, the oil burner is expected to be powered by the 1.3-litre multi-jet engine. Both the engines will be paired to a five-speed manual gearbox, the petrol model will also get CVT gearbox.
