Ford Fiesta facelift

Ford that unveiled the 2014 Fiesta facelift at the recently held Auto Expo is planning to launch the vehicle in the market. It is expected that the company could introduce the vehicle by the end of this month. Moreover, Ford India is also offering a benefit of up to Rs. 1.5 lakh on the existing model, which could be the strategic move to exhaust the current lot of Fiesta.

Few of dealers have already started taking bookings for the new Fiesta. On being contacted to a dealer, we learned that the stock for the existing model allotted to them is already exhausted and they are taking advance bookings for the new Fiesta sedan. Deliveries for the new model are likely to commence in the last week of this month, he added.

On Ford’s official page, the company has mentioned benefits of upto Rs. 1.5 lakh on existing Fiesta; stating “A Treat for Auto Enthusiasts”. It is surely an exciting offer to avail. The new Fiesta sedan gets a new bold design, advanced safety features and all-new smart technologies like Ford Sync with Applink.

Ford Fiesta, this time, goes for smart, subtle upgrades which ultimately turn into a sporty and upmarket sedan. The most fascinating styling update is given to its front, as the sedan now gets an aggressive Aston Martin-like front grille with chrome slats. It now gets a restyled bumper which integrates new fog lamps and headlamps. The rear profile of the sedan has new tail lights, which are larger in size than before. A new deck lid and bumper fascia comes with a chrome accent.

Inside the cabin, the new Fiesta comes equipped with a new dashboard and leather steering wheel with audio controls mounted on it. The dual tone instrument panel further enhances the visual appeal.

The new Ford Fiesta sedan will continue to be powered by the same 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines. While the petrol mill produces 107bhp and 140Nm of top torque, the oil burner churns out a max power output of 89bhp and 204Nm of torque. Both the engines come mated to a five-speed manual gearbox, while the petrol version will also get a six-speed auto gearbox.
